Join Word Chicks!

Are you a Christian woman called to write and/or speak? Would you like prayer? Word Chicks is a group of women for whom I regularly pray--women called by God to communicate His message through the written or spoken word

The Lord told me to sow seeds of prayer for my sisters in Christ who are stepping out in obedience. You see, I'm believing God for big things--not just for myself, but for you. By big things I mean more published articles, more speaking engagements, even books accepted for publication. And why not dream big? I believe we should attempt great things for God, and expect great things from God. John 15:8 says, "When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father in heaven is glorified; and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Me."

Initially when I stepped out I felt reluctant to ask the Lord for success. But at a writer's conference, Jim Watkins explained that without "ME" there is no MEssage. We each have messages that can reach specific people, and unless God grants us success in the arenas of publishing and speaking engagements, people won't hear the message. I'm not implying that we will all write best-selling novels. Our spheres of influence vary. But whether we teach a community Bible study or have a TV talk show, the point is to fulfill our callings and destinies in Christ.
