Lord,
I rarely
consider troubles an opportunity for pure joy. Will you please change that?
Will you please give me an eternal perspective, knowing that hard situations I
am facing are producing steadfastness in me? Help me to grow in godly character
and to hold on to my joy even when I face unhappy circumstances. Give me grace
when my faith is tested, and help me not to allow my heart and mind to sink,
but to consider it all joy. Help me hold on to You for dear life, because You,
Lord, are faithful, You are at work in me and in the situation(s) that concern
me, and You are my joy. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
