I am so far from
perfect. I blow it far more often than I want to. Will you please give me a
heart that is quick to ask You for forgiveness? May every foible lead me
straight to my knees, where I will find forgiveness from You.
May my heart be
eager to run to You, Lord, and seek forgiveness the very moment I stumble. Jesus
You never sinned. Not once. I am grateful that You were perfect on my behalf,
so I don’t have to be. I’m grateful that Your perfection completely covers my
glaring inadequacies, and when I ask You make me clean. In Your wonderful name,
Amen.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9)
