The critical words aimed right toward my heart, and to my great surprise, bounced off. What was intended to demean me accomplished nothing. How? Because I have learned the importance of guarding my heart (finally!).
Let's face it, people say lots of things, lots of it not good. So God has instructed us to guard our hearts...and we are the only ones who can do that.
LET'S PRAY:
Let's face it, people say lots of things, lots of it not good. So God has instructed us to guard our hearts...and we are the only ones who can do that.
LET'S PRAY:
Lord, help me to understand I am the gatekeeper of my own heart. May I learn to walk out the divine balance of guarding my heart vigilantly and entrusting myself wholly to You. Give me wisdom to guard my heart against criticism and negative words. Give me discernment so that I do not open my heart to wrong or detrimental things, wisely guarding myself from fears, anxieties, and lies. But may my heart remain soft and open and completely filled with and led by You. You are my safe place, You are utterly trustworthy, and I give you complete access to my heart. Thank you for filling my heart with supernatural peace. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life." Proverbs 4:23
