Ever wish you could just run away from all the crazy? As I stared out a window the other day, I tried to think of a quiet, calm, safe place I could run to. Maybe a quaint log cabin in the mountains?
And yet even when travel is not possible (it's totally not in the cards for me right now...), God is a SAFE FORTRESS we can always run to. HE SHELTERS OUR HEARTS, comforts us, and fills us with His peace...no matter where we are.

Lord, when my anxiety is intense and my days far too long, I'm grateful I can run to You. You are my consistent, reliable help...the shelter my heart longs for! Help me to remember this in the hard moments. When the headlines and my personal situations feel like too much for me to handle, may I breathe this truth deeply and run to You, my fortress and protection. Hold my heart continually in Your peace as REST IN YOU, completely entrusting every care into Your faithful hands. Thank you for moving in our nation, in my family, and in my life. Thank you for being my Prince of Peace, and for sweetly relieving and comforting my heart. In Jesus’s name, amen.
