Lord, may
my life be counter-cultural as I daily choose to stop all my activities, step
away from every distraction, and simply be still. Teach me to rest in Your presence, to
rest in the finished work of the cross, and to rest in Your unfailing love.
As I still
myself on the inside, help me to breathe in Your peace. Fill my heart with Your
supernatural peace that passes all understanding. Calm my heart and emotions. Give me grace to center my heart, my thoughts and my very life on You.
My strong desire is
cultivate inner quietness, and to learn to be still—daily—and know that You
alone are God. Help me to live a life that is still on the inside, deeply
connected to You, so that I can always hear You and walk in the powerful
warfare of Your amazing peace.
